Marie-Josée Bédard acts as Counsel to our Immigration group at the Montreal office. She specializes in immigration law and has over 25 years of experience in this field.

Marie-Josée’s practice is exclusively focused on immigration law matters. As a result, she has thousands of successful cases to her credit.

Throughout her career, Marie-Josée has successfully helped business people and individuals navigate the rules international agreements and treaties, as well as domestic legislation. More specifically, she facilitated applications for visas, work permits, labour market impact assessments, special temporary permits, spousal work permits and study permits for family members.

Marie-Josée is frequently invited to give conferences and training sessions in various contexts, particularly for the Quebec Bar’s continuing education programs.

Prior to joining Fasken, she accumulated years of experience with leading national law firms. She has also held managerial positions in immigration with multinational businesses, and started her boutique immigration law firm in 2019.
