Mmaphuti Morolong is a corporate & commercial partner in Johannesburg and a member of the firm’s Global Mining Group. Advising corporate clients and traditional communities, she assists with mergers and acquisitions, Black Economic Empowerment transactions, corporate re-organizations, and restructurings.
With in-depth expertise advising clients on a variety of mining regulatory and transactional issues, including compliance with the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, Mmaphuti also assists on prospecting and mining right applications and appeals and judicial reviews.
She also conducts various due-diligence investigations for both domestic and international clients, drafting commercial contracts including memorandums of incorporations, shareholders' agreements, sale of business and sale of share agreements and company law.
